about

The smell of char. The howling of Trollocs and screeches of Fades. Lightning tendrils of the One Power arcing across the carmine skies. The landscape is ashen, and reality is visibly torn by the vicious cyclones of raw power concentrated around Shayol Ghul - the prison of the being known as the Dark One.

The Wheel creaks under the strain of the ta'veren. The air itself is charged with the expectation of bloodshed. And the most powerful forces of the Third Age face one another. One side - the adherents of the Dragon Reborn, fight for the status quo and the minimization of human suffering - shortsighted, naive, altogether ignorant of the true oppressive weight of the cyclical nature of the Wheel. The other - Forsaken, blood on their hands, in an unholy union with the Dark One, yearning to break the Wheel, derail the cycling of Ages, burn this false Heaven down and, through entropy, create a new world.

For the longest Red Cain track yet, we invited James Delbridge from Canadian band Lycanthro to lend his classic heavy metal vocal to this opus of a song hitting the crescendo of the lore behind "NÄE'BLISS". A culmination of the musical elements in the other tracks of the album, "Fires of Heaven" brings the "NÄE'BLISS" concept to a close with a blistering, sprawling tour de force mirroring the epic closing of the Wheel of Time series - Tarmon Gai'don - The Last Battle. Heaven must burn.

lyrics

Skyfire
Raining down
Tonight we burn the world
With open eyes we see

Skyfire
Raining down
Look deep into the Bore
Salvation isn’t free

In the shadow of the Dragon
Perching on the Wheel
In those fleeting few moments
Of calm
What did you feel?

In your plea for a saviour
You laid down your arms
As you kneel before the Light
The night
Has grown so dark

By this moon
Serene and bright
Butchery
Will be done tonight

Shut your doors
Air rank with fear
The Last Battle
Is here

Let the fires of Heaven burn
For too long we have held our pride
And when chaos consumes the world
It will find you paralyzed

You were building
Castles
Lines in the rising tide
Burying your anger
Bowing toward the Light

Now only firelight
A twisted memory
And beasts that prowl in the night

They no longer hide
Feed the fires
Sacrifice

Skyfire
Raining down
Tonight we burn the world
With open eyes we see

Skyfire
Raining down
Look deep into the Bore
Salvation isn’t free

And so you choose to fuel the lie
The Lucifer Effect
Surrender to the spotlight
The Wheel upon your backs

And so you choose to live in fear
The thrill of freedom foreign now
Then you are all but lost, I fear
So let us burn this whole thing down

By this moon
Serene and bright
Butchery
Will be done tonight

Shut your doors
Air rank with fear
The Last Battle
Is here

Consuming
Your fears
And growing
From your sin

Despair
Deception
Everything must burn to be clean

Burn the world
Send it tumbling down
Count this last endeavour lost
Smile as you hit the ground

Look upon your God
Your devotion
Necromantic

Let your doubts come like a flood
Scour the lies from all you are

Let the fires burn
We have kept our pride
Lord of Chaos reigns
You are paralyzed

Let the fires burn
Let it tumble down
All is lost
Heaven will burn!
